Transcript | Wm [William?] PALFREY. D.G. BALDWIN R.E. CRAIG CASHR. ASST. CASHR. S.KATZ VICE PREST 1778. NEW ORLEANS NATIONAL BANK. New Orleans Dec. 21, 1895 Dr. A.W. Smyth, Ardcame, Donemana, County Tyrone, Ireland. Dear Doctor:- It has seemed to me that your true policy would be to return to this City and resume the practice of your profession. If you conclude to do so, and need temporary funds to carry out the scheme, I shall very gladly loan you the necessary amount. It has seemed to me that your acknowledged skill as a surgeon and practitioner could be made available, and that you were overlooking your true interests by hiding your light under a bushel. Remember me kindly to Mrs. Smyth and little Arthe. Yours sincerely [D.?] Baldwin. |
