| Transcript | Shanaugh Raphoe 9th June 1879 My dear Mrs. Russell Your very welcome letter has just arrived and I was very glad to hear from you and to know that you are well. I am glad to say that I cannot complain of my health. But I suppose you do not know that Robert is dead and also my youngest son, Hugh, but Matthew is living and well. Mary Callen is living with us and is in as good health as can be expected and desires to be remembered to you. We had quite forgotten about the small matter you mention the potatoes but it is quite time enough yet. You can send the Post Office Order, the Raphoe Office or a Bank Order on any of the Banks in Ireland and we will get it Cashed in Raphoe as we have got a Bank there now.
