i take the opertunity [opportunity?]
of writing to you hoping when these few lines
reaches you the [they?] will find you in good
health i was always thinking of you and you went
away. On account of been [being?] companions when
I was at home in Landahussey and you at home
I never rued anything as mutch [much?] as that
i did not go with you and i had a great mind
[to?] go only the [they?] would not let me go
i suppose you will wonder when here [hear?] of me
going out there i think i will go out to where you
are i can not tell you very [mutch?] much about the
plum [Plumbridge?] part of the country as i was not
there this year i may say only there has been
very little marages [marriages?] since you left
if i will be speared [spared?] to get over i will
tell you all. Your cousin Miss Gilkison is not
married yet i am at Ardstraw this year or so that
is three miles from Newtownstewart so i am going
up in the plum [Plumbridge?] soon and i will go to
see your people for i intend to see you when i
go over there if i can at all i was going to write
to you every day this lond [long?] time and it
always went past i was in strabane one day and
i saw Willie Gilkison and he gave me your adress
[address?] i think the ship i intend to go in
is going to sail on the 21 of this month, so i
intend to go where you are first i suppose i
would hardly know you i hear william John Duncan
is near you you can tell him i was asking for him
i need not ask you to write for you would hardly
have time but if you think you would have time
you might just kindly write and let me know
where you landed and something like that i
think you might have time i have no more to say
at preasant [present?] I will tell you more when
i go over i suppose you will wonder to see me writing
to you goodby [goodbye?] your loving friend.
