Dear sarah I recieved [received?] your Letter that you
wrote for my mother I was very glad to hear That you
are all well I sent a letter to my mother 2 days ago
and I sent a check [cheque?] in it for ten pounds I
Will send you a little package with a Chain and
earings [earrings?] in it gold Ones would cost a good
deal of money here from ten to twenty pounds but these
may do you if you come to this country I would sooner
buy you a dress it would be service to you dear sarah
I would like to see you if you come Out here any time
& would be very glad to meet you may Believe we would
have a long conversation I may let you know that I
never married I am still a Batchelor I will send you a
news paper you will get more information than I can
tell you about I need say no more this time I remain
