dear Mother and brother iwrite [I write?] you these
few lines hoping the [they?] will fin [find?] you
both in better health nor when i heard from you
last as i had a letter from John After he was over
to belfast And stated about abel being off work so
long which i was sorry to hear and also of you Mother
being so [stained] but [stained] Can not expect any
thing different now as old Age is creeping
along very fast now as for My part i have had very
good health since i came to this country only Mary
jane has had but poor health for her part the
children has all been well only the youngest and he
has been sick the most of the summer and he is
alittle [a little?] better now it is rather a por
[poor?] country here in winter as a Man has got to go
away from home in winter to the work some times fifty
Miles and other times a hundred and be away three
Month and sleep in hay barns for that time and
never got of [off?] his clothes a man here lasts a
Good spring and fall in account of the long winter
and he only works about 9 Months out of the year and
if he got money for his crop he could do very well
but that the [they?] will not give you the [they?]
all have shares and you have got to take your
earnings out of that it is very seldom you can get a
[---?] it is not so in the states it is all Money
there you Might let Me know if you get any news
from james william had a letter from him and wrote to
him and got no answer yet william and family is all
well i see him since [---?] i live amile [a mile?]
of [off?] at George and i was G in the town i
[----?] nor fed for the one man for there years
abel you might let me know how you are all getting
along and if your wife is a long you know i [-----?]
with [----?] to say at present we all join in sending
our love to Mother and family good by [goodbye?]
