Dear Cousin,

I am answering your letter once more I will not go so high this time well I did not copie [copy?] it out of a 6d novel or Pardon and Assurance either You must think we were brought up in great Ignorance to the gospel
the Bible is new [no?] [surprise?] to us as we were taught it from our youth and brought up by believing Parents all the trubles [troubles?] and triels [trials?] we had the [there?] never was one of you to come and simpathise [sympathize?] with us we had the only one simpathiser [sympathizer?] the Lord Jesus that see (sic) all and know all, it was always provoking and keeping strife going when my Granda would speake [speak?] of the gospel what did you all say. O what dose [does?] he know why did you not say such & such a thing to him. The rash words which no one can recall the wasted Sabbath s (sic) which no wishes can redeem the broken
heart of distant days and departed friends which no Churchyard sighs can heal and no tears can creat [create?] anew. For violets plucked the sweetest Shours [Showers?] can neer [ne er?] make grow again. The [they?] are one thing you have still in your minds and has no foundation for
and untill [until?] you stop talking it over I will never believe you
are a true christan [Christian?]. refuse profane and old wifes [wives ?] fables and exercise thyself unto godliness this is a faithfull [faithful?] saying worth [worthy?] of all acceptation [acceptance?] that Christ Jesus
come (sic) into the world to save sinners Holding faith which some [have?] put away making a shipwreck. The [there?] are a lot like Ananias he pretended to be a christian and that grace was in his heart it was not a lie to man but to the Holy Ghost he was declaring that God had wrought
a change upon his soul there was none he was still the Old Ananias
in a twinkling of an eye the [they?] were in a place where all liars go.
we are to examine ourselves before we go to we go to (sic) the Lords [Lord s?] table by going there you profess that you are under the Spirits [Spirit s?] teaching if you are not you lie to the Holy Ghost. I think you have no more no (sic) confession to make when you go to God and confess there Before his people all, he died in the stead of sinners, and any sinner may have me for a Savour [saviour?]. Whosiver [Whosoever?] believith [believeth?] that Jesus is the Christ is born of god. Wherefore it is contained in the scripture behold I lay in Sion a cheif [chief?] corner stone elect precious (sic). and he that believeth on [in?] him shall not be confounded But there are false prophets also among the people. even as there shall be false teachers among you. who [privily?] shall bring in damable [damnable?] heresies even denying the Lord that bough [bought?] them and bring upon themselves swift distruction [destruction?] And
many shall follow there [their?] pernicious ways. by reason of whom the way
of truth shall be evil spoken of. (sic) But though we, or an angle [angel?] from heaven preach any other gospel into you than that which we have preached unto you. let him be accursed. As we said before so say I now again. If any man preach any other gospel unto to you than that ye have received. let him be accursed. For I know this that after my departing
shall grievous wolves enter in among you not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men, arise, speaking perverse things
to draw away disciples after them You can read James 1st Ch 5:9 also 26:27 James 2nd. 19 to end Hebrews 11Ch 38.09 11Ch 1:3 see peters [Peter s?] 2nd Ch 20 to end. {Jet.?] 1st..9: and many more to [too?] numerous to mention.

Your Cousin Tilda
