Dear Cousin
In answer to

on Friday 22nd inst and was
glad to hear of you being

one it was it was the best

[page 2]
I have seen yet there was
not an angry word all [night?]
nor not even one Drunk
everything was quiet Dan gave
the best of music and there
was lots of dancing it was
clear before they gave it up
Christmas was very dull here
this year I might say it was
not worth talking about The
weather is very wet here now
it is raining away every day

[page 3]
there has been very little snow
this winter yet but we may
have enough of it before May
you want to know how me
and Alice is [sic] doing well I
will tell you that I was not
in their house since you left

talking to them this long time
they have made perfect flirts
of themselves they have not one
to speak to them now unless
and I guess he will do them

[Page 4]
