Dear Cousin
In answer to
your letter which I received
a few weeks ago was glad
to hear from you once
more especially on account
of doing so well at your
examination I was just
thinking a few dayes [days?] before
I got your letter as I had
been dreaming that you
were coming home for a
few weeks but it was all
over when I got your letter
I suppose by this time
you are as hard at work
as ever some people thinks
you are only loosing [losing?] your
time at school so long but
I think it is better to do
a job right at once as to
have to do it over again
I dont think it will hurt the
folks at home to keep you
going for another year
They are making lots
of money Tom is making
a good profit at the sheep
he can beat a great many
old hands at present
You think some of us should
send you our Picture
I might send you mine
in my next letter if I can
John was at home on the
Plum fair day he looks a
good deal better than he
did before he weent [went?] away
I think wee [we?] must all go away
for a while it would help to make
us a little smarter but we
must wait to [till?] we get done
with this old humbug of a road
we are working very hard at it
at present we have to put the
stones all up in Cubit Yards
along the road it gives us a
lot more work now but the
horses will have less to do all
winter The harvest has been
very good this year the corn is
nearly all in but it was a very
bad crop about here. I must close
now as it is time to start to the
road again

Your Cousin Willie

You must excuse this writing and errors
of every kind as was in a hury [hurry?]

Please write soon again
