| Transcript | To: Lytle Black, 342 Winchester Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A. From: John Hall, Mc Donald, Washington County, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. November 7 1889 Mc Donald 7th Nov [November?] 89 [1889?] Dear Lytle You [Your?] last letter with P.O.O. [postal order?] enclosed for $12.00 for which I am extremely obliged. Well I want to tell you the way I am situated, before I got your letter on Saturday I had a deputation of some of [Re?]nd's men out at a new mine which has been opened up wanting me to go out there three evenings in the week & teach a night school and not knowing when you might be able to render me any assistance being idle myself I agreed to go out which I did & now that I have started will have to continue it until the month at least is finished I have not very many scholars yet but have the promise of some more next night so when I was in the business I started one here as well the three remaining nights & am working up all the pupils I can get & doing any little job I can get through the day it will give me a little "lift" and put me in a better position to get to Chicago which you may depend will be as soon as I can reasonably get there and hope as you say that we may spend many a happy day together in Chicago.
