Dear Bella
excuse me not
writing to you and my
Aunt and Uncle and Cousins
before now as I have been
broken hearted I could not
have held the pen to tell
you how we arrived as I

[Page 2]
felt more upset about leaving
you all than anyone at Liverpool
I am nearly broken up I have not
much time to write you much
before we leave here we leave
here on Thursday week the 17th
for India we might be there
eight years and may be only
four but they are transfering
[transferring?]some of us to

left here last year so if they
do it will be eight years
