| Transcript | Kildare The 18 June 1850 Mr Greives [Greeves] of Dungannon I take the liberty of writing to you if you would have the goodness to let me know if the 50 pounds is lying in the bank for me or if my uncle James Heather did lift it or any of the family why I must strive to earn my living with the lords blessing I think it hard to earn my living and have it lying there an orphan in a strang [strange] land as I have no one friend to write to on this earth that I can depend to but you I feel thankful to the lord been so directed to such an honest friend as you If you would send It by post to me and pay your expenses out of it for I would be sorry to give you the trouble of sending it to me without you would pay your self as I intended to change my life and do for my self I am going into 20 years of age I never got any acount [account] about my fathers mony [money] that he left in harringtings bank if you think it is right for me to look about it I will go by your directions as I think you have turned out a Father and a friend to the orphan my mother has turned all over to myself May the orphans prayers and the fatherless light about you and your family for the lord to bless you and yours - If you please to direct your letter to the care of Mr John Collar Kildare Teacher From May Heather Juiner [Junior?] Kildare |
