Dear Sir
By Mr Robert Campbell's will the
following legacies are due, viz :
To Mrs Margaret M'Whinney
[McWhinney?] $2500
To James B. M'Vea [McVea?], Samuel Orr
M'Vea [McVea?] and John M'Vea [Mc Vea?],
each 2000$ $6000
To Mrs Jane Dickey Ward
near Belfast $800
To Wm. J. C. Allen Esq of Belfast $800 = $10100

I have remitted to Messrs J & J Stuart & Co of New York,
to be invested in Sterling and sent to you for distribution,
half of the above sum $5050 and will send the balance $5050
as soon as the proper receipts come to hand. Will you
therefore procure and forward to me as soon as possible
from each legatee, a receipt like the following copy, to
be witnessed by a magistrate, and certified by an American
consul.

Received from Joseph J. Bean, Josiah Sibleey, and Henry J.
Campbell, Executors of Robert Campbell, late of Richmond
County, Georgia, deceased, Twenty Five Hundred Dollars
(or its equivalent in Sterling money) in full for legacy
left me by the said Robert Campbell by his will dated
Jan 24 1870

The legacy to Mrs Grace M'Whinney [McWhinney?] is lapsed
by her death. This remittance would have been made
sooner, but the will reads "I desire my special legacies
to be paid as soon after my death as they can be without
sacrificing my property" &c To make this payment I have
sold Geo. RR [Georgia Railraod?] Stock, which [---?] at
par, and was appraised at 90, at 76 over 15 % loss.

Campbells death, and say whether I shall draw on you for
the amount, or what disposition shall be made of it.

Mrs Bean, who was formerly Miss Harriet C.Smith desires
her regards and grateful remembrance to Mrs Allen and
yourself.
She still wears and greatly prizes a small gold locket
presented to her by Mrs Allen many years since.
