to Robert Moore, Carndonagh, County Donegal.

May 18, 1916.
Dear Mr. Moore,
I received a letter to-day from Charles Lynch of Miltown, who has some intentions of buying my place there. He tells me that he would like to
purchase the place, but is somewhat afraid of doing so as he says my Aunt and sister would make trouble Now I am going to ask you to inform me if there is any possible way that they could make trouble, and if so how they can have that authority. I am certainly the only one who pays the rent and
taxes, and feel that I had ought to be able to do what I choose with my own
You will greatly oblige me, if you will write me at as early a date as possible, and inform me if they have any authority to make any serious trouble for the party, whomever it may be, that purchases that place.
I have never quite understood how it was arranged in regard to the house my aunt lives in, whether she is entitled to it for a lifetime or not. If she is entitled to it, I shall certainly not wish to do anything,
not wish to do anything, but shall be glad to have her occupy it while she
lives.

I would also ask you to inform me in regards to this matter, as you
certainly must know whether or not she is entitled to it.
Respectfully yours
