| Transcript | Robt [Robert?] Alexander Esqr Derry 29 Jany 1772 Dr [Dear?] Bob To oblige my friend Edw Edward?] Brice of [Nuitown?] I send you inclosed Fred Gregg's Bill and Johnson O Jolly for 150 retd [returned?] with Protests &c a bill being drawn for acct [account?] of Caldwill Vance Maldwill I wrote [Watson?] 21st to 23rd the inclosed letter is an answer. Now Wm [William?] Brice rather than have the trouble of returning said Bill to Wilmington requests that you may take the trouble send me a new Bill for 164:8:2 Irish, being the Amt [Amount?] of the Bill & Costs as in the other side, but he begs you may at the same time observe that Fred. Gregg is a good man & therefore if you think C's own security is not good, desire an Indorser, Contrive to take it in any other method, so as Wm [William?] Brice may be sure of receiving the Value by the 1st of April as proposed by Wm [William?] Caldwell to J.A. |
