now the winter
has been very mild so far
I was sorry to hear of
John McClelland

I was sorry to learn that
Dr [Camle?] did not
make a good sale of it

to hurt him
I got a letter from
McGaw and they was
all sick with the cold
and A Bell was also
sick, and David Taylor

with and that he come
out ahead but i am
shure [sure?] that Lile
[Lily?] [done?]
a good [--wering?]
I got the papers that you
sent me and was well
pleased with them and
if you have any more
i wish you would send
them to me if it
would not be to [too?] much
trouble to do so
it will not be way
long before spring
i dont think we
will think much [of?]
a [winter?]
I think i will be
down about the first
of april if i have
good luck
and i will get rested
up then we have to
get up early in
the morning here
I have not much
news to send to
you as i will have
to close for this time
