Miss Annie Weir
Dear Friend I received
your letter some days ago and
in reply will say I was glad
to hear you was settled again
I know you must of had a
fearful time, It is nice and
warm here now just like spring
time in the east.
I have had nothing direct
from Bell since I wrote you
I Hear through outsiders she is working
in a Boarding and Lodging House
in San Francisco and that Mr
Moore has wrote up here to the shop
where he used to work for employment
days he can get nothing to do
in city, (But you cant always
rely on floating rumors
Any information I get I will
send you let it be good or
bad, If I could see you I
would tell you all. I once had
my mind made up to write
you (About one year ago) and am
sorry to the bottom of my heart
now that I did not but Belle
was afraid I wrote and always
watched the mail so close.
She told me she thought more
of you than any one all this
earth. But you would never know
if she was in trouble said
she thought too much of you.
Write as soon as convenient
as I shall look for a letter
i have always felt an interest
in you since I heard Bell
speak of you so much
Yours kindly Miss [O?] Small
