| Transcript | 19 Colemans: [London?] city 10 August 1854 My Lord Presuming your Lordship will be glad to hear what is doing at Marmora. I send you herewith copy of a letter recently received from Quebec. - We have after some delay & with much difficulty selected two good men to go out & take charge of the works. - Until we get a detailed report from them, it will not be advisable to make any considerable increase in the capital but there is every reason to hope that this may be most usefully employed next Spring. - That part of the letter referring to paying up the last Instalment does not apply to your Lordship you having paid the whole under Discount. - I have the honor to be my Lord The Right Honabe [Honourable?] your Lordship faithfully The Earl of Caledon Charles Bischoff |
