Although two years have passed away since you
left the land of your native Your communication, & mine
have been "wide & far between" ere drew our solace of
[surtainaic?] in [infantile?] home from the Same fountain D--
But it because a question which requires selection? Why such
a [break?] our communicating true I have written you to
others indirectly & have had the gratifying communication
your temporal [--eef?] & of the good name between Gertrude
on your practice in life & also of a little nephew.
