Dear Cousin Willie We had a good run home, and meeting several friends on board the time passed quite pleasantly, but I was right glad to get home and find all the family safe & well. Gould is at Newport so I have not had a chance of consulting with him regarding the arrangement you suggested but I learn on good authority that it cannot be done - I examined the securities I hold yesterday and found in a package endorsed "Southern Securities" the 18 shrs [shares?] So Ca R.R. [South CarolinaRail Road?] the 105 of Charlotte Augusta & Columbia R.R. [Rail Road?] and $700 bonds town of Columbia and also 25 shrs [shares?] Bk [Bank?] of Georgetown S.C. [South Carolina?] $100 each 112 shrs [shares?] S. [South?] Carolina Insurance Co [Company?] value not given & 40 shrs [shares?] $25 each of the Commercial Insce Co [Insurance Company?] Charleston These last probably have no value The Missouri bonds are right as I saw Mr Duer and found that he had collected the last coupon of the one bond of the St Louis & Iron Mountain R.R. [Rail Road?] last Jany, [January?] so that it was off his list. The bond is payable this year and I have it in the tin box. This I believe makes his last agree with yours. Geraldyn did not forward you [your?] Cousin Rowlands a/c [account?] current as I forgot to tell him to before I #PAGE 2 left. I now conclude it. on June 12th then were $26.105.59 at the credit and I collected $819 of coupins since The Financial & Com.l [Commercial?] Chronicle should go today to you at Fenaghy Geraldyn goes out in the Britannic today and I trust that the trip will do him good He is much run down and the sea voyage & your cool climate I hope will be just the thing for him. He is fond of fishing & shooting and having the boys home at Galgorm is a fortunate thing for him. The weather is extremely hot & anything but a pleasant change to me.
