My dear Willy
Today I have a
few lines from Roly of the 24th ulto;
" Both [Foster?] and chancellor Williamson
lawyers say that the money in this
" Trust Coy [company?] cannot be touched that it is
" virtually out of the hands of the Coy [company?]
" and having been set aside for a specific
" purpose no subsequent judgement against
" the Coy [company?] can affect it. The Patent suit
" with costs & interest represents now a drain
" against the Coy [company?] of $256 M and there are
" $220 M now in the Trust Coy [company?]"
This is all very nice to read but like you
I would just like to see that
Patent Suit settled out of the money
in the Trust Coy [company?].
Not one word about the Taylor
decree!!! Supposing John [Young?]
to be here Roly says, "Please tell him
" that the enquiries about Saml [Samuel?]
" Burnside are being carried on.
" The delay has been caused through the
" loss of an address this I sent yesterday
" and do hope soon to have the desired
" information." Tell friend John all
this no use in my troubling him with
a note or myself to write one -
Weather fine but very cold North East
wind with bits of snow falling every
now and then, of course I have to
remain housed. Love to James &
small people yours faithfully
Rowland Redmond
