TranscriptLetter from Hugh Roddan, Boston [Massachusetts?], [U.S.A.?]
to Robert Moore, Churchtown, Carndonagh,
County Donegal.

Boston May the 9th 1865.

Dear Sir I received your kind
and welcome letter on May
the fifth which rejoiced me a
little of hearing that 6 pounds
was alight in your hands
I heard once you got america [America?]
letter but I could not be
certain of it [----?] mine so you
can hold it untill [until?] further
notice Michal [Michael?] McCool wishes
to know if I am getting home
in November but I dont [don't?]
believe I will without something
May turn up that I am not
aware of.
And now I hope you will
forgive me for giving you
so much trouble but

Yours truly
Hugh Roddan
