Chere Nato
triste. J'ai fait demander a Mde
Chorpe si elle etait toujours decidee
a ne pas prendre de [pansionniency?],
hier au soir pour [mefuire?] les [atticiell?].
I'examen de l'Institut lui le 29 de ce mois;
[all right?] ; Mde Tiblier avait un
arrangement, pour qu'un de [Baigor?]
sur la propriete a cote. Mde Norstrop
a louee la maison, a l'ancien
[assacie?] de Braughn ; elle demenage
aujourd'hui, elle est venue me voir
Mes amities a Mde [Warmath?]

Dear Nato
I received your letter
of the 12th this morning ; I am sorry to hear
that you no longer possess the moral strength
to bear the ordeals of life.
As long as you [?] your dear
little daughter, I am grateful for the
ray of sunshine which shines in
my path in this world of troubles and
tribulations !
Remember what she told you when
I left ; " as long as she
is close to you, you will never
be alone " I hope that you will overcome
this discouraged mood, and that
you will see life, [?] a day less
sad. I asked of Mde
Chorpe if she had still decided
not to take [her?] [pension?]
yesterday in the evening in order to [?]
[?.] The Institute examination is on
the 29 of this month ; I think
that there is a disagreement between
Wm [William?]. Meger and the Principal for
she did not come back the following year.
Adieu my dear daughter,
I hope that your next letter will be
less discouraged, and that you [will think?]
of your old mother who loves you,
and your little daughter who
has only you in this world, and that
that gives you the courage you
need, in order to bear the
ordeals of this life; reply
straightaway, write to me often, for when
I don't have any news from you, I am
so worried. Kiss my dear
little daughter for me, and to
you, my dear daughter a thousand [kisses?]
from the heart, from your loving mother.
Tenderly. O. [Olivier?] Bouligny

The twins send kisses.
she wanted me to say that Eva had
studied hard, and that she was going
to the countryside to her mother's house
in order to take in the air.
If you decide to come to the Passe
I will be able to find out about
board and lodgings ; I think, like you
that a journey is something which is
infeasible; the money that it would
cost you; you would pay too much
later on; this would be another sorrow,
another privation, and another worry.
Sacrifice a pleasure which would cost you
as much and you would regret it !
Everything is going well here, the
carriage is not going, but the horse is
all right; Mde Tiblier has an
arrangement, in order to [swim?]
on the adjacent property. Mde Norstrop
rented the house, the former
[?] of Braughn ; she is moving
today, she came to see me.
My best wishes to Mde [Warmath?]
