| Transcript | San Francisco, 189- The Crossetts were always good neighbours and very friendly. I wish you to remember me to them all and especially, to Johany [Johnny?] he and i used to be great friends. I would like ever so much to be able to get over to see you all but I cannot afford to give up my position and cannot get the time as long as I am in the employ of others, but hope before I get too old I will be able to take a little leisure and call time my own All relatives here are in the enjoyment of good health. Hoping to hear from you soon again. I Remain Your affectionate brother Robt [Robert?] J. Alexander |
