Sep [September?] 14th 99

Dear Brother
We received
your letter of Aug" [August?] 18th on the
31st and see that you are
in good spirits: & enjoying
yourself as well as possible
& better I expect than if
you had failed
Miss Dunne is very glad
that you done so well &
well pleased with receiving
the paper: she says none
of her scholars remembers
her as well as you
There are a good deal of
enquirers as to how you
done & what you intend to
do: I suppose by this time
you are at Model School
again We are sending
money to day so I hope it
will reach you in time &
not have you wanting, the
last few letters was addressed
to Woodslee perhaps you
did not get them: we expected
you would be there mostly
during holidays, the money
will be made payable at
Essex as usual
Willie Gilky got papers
from you & was informed that
you were for spending a week
at Cedar Beach Im sure you
had a fine time: only for the
cooking
We are all in good health
at present & very busy during
harvest: we have the corn all
in except one stack & it may
all be got in today.
Johnnie Elkin (sic) second
daughter (Maggie Jane) is not
expected to live very long
she is very bad this last
day or two. She got a hurt (sic)
in June and never got
better of it since, From what
we hear. Joe & Willie was
fighting & she went to sep-
arate [separate?] them & some of
the two gave her a kick: which
I believe will be the means
of her death. They had her
in Omagh with Thompson
but he could do nothing
& she was at the shore for
a week, but has got worse
since she came home
There is some talk that
Willie John is going back
again, & Mary Mc Knight is
for going about the first of
next month: she may be along
with him
I hope Aunt is all right [alright?]
again I was for writing this
week but did not do it yet
she has our Photos by now
No more at this time
your Sister
