| Transcript | [Page 1] Essex, Ont April, 3, 1905 Dear Brother, You [Your?] letter of March 24th to hand today. Do not know if this will reach you before you leave. If not the folks at home will get it. Well I am glad to see you branch out and give us some of your opinions whether on religious lines or on any others. I like to see a person say what they think and also to express themselves. I believe John you will make a pretty good Methodist when you land in this Country. However I have never taken very much interest in this conversion [idea?]. Your scriptural quotations are right to the point. Well there is no use in my [Page 2] making a long letter. I have been writing letters all night up to 5 o’clock this morning about this position that I have got under the Conservative government. I am sleepy tired and cranky in school today. I drove to [Leamington?] yesterday and back again. My appointment is creating some dissatisfaction in the Con. [Conservative?] Party. So they say, but that would have happened no matter who got the appointment Well recess is up. So I must close. I may again say glad to know you are coming and hope to meet you in Toronto.
