| Transcript | Plainsville Sept, 187[5?] Mr James Hagan Dear Sir I now wish to inform you that I have paid Mike & Owen's passage on they Guion line and I told they [the?] agent here theire [their?] ages and on account of they times been so hard here he put them both down under age For me and he said that all they have got to do is to mind and tell they [the?] same age as is stated on they [the?] ticket and that they will come all right and [if?] you know of any person coming on they [the?] same line It would be a great advantage to them for they [the?] same parties to take charge of them until they would go on Board of Ship theire [their?] fare is paid from Belfast to New York please to tell them to be very particular when the go on boat and tell them to be carefull when they go on to they [the?] boat at Belfast and for them to go down into they [the?] steerage and for not to gon [go?] on deck on any account unto they land Mr Hagan please to get Patk [Patrick?] Flanigan [Flannigan?] to get they [the?] captains letter for them and for him to drop a note to Mr Turbitt to watch for them when they land and I hope that you will see them sent off all right and with they [the?] help of god I will be able to pay you what ever debt that they owe you a good bit now and I hope to be able to reward Mr Flannigan also. Please to write a few days ahead of them starting and let me know they [the?] name of the ship that they will sail upon as I will be watching for them I also enclose you one pound to pay theire [their?] way and you draw it for them. Please to let me know when you are writing how is Mr [Haganan?] Mr Hagan and all they [the?] rest of their family and let me know also how is my father. I have nothing more to say at present But Remains your old friend Cathi Brannigan Please to tell Mr Flanigan [Flannigan?] that when he writes to the office to state in his letter that they are coming out to theire [their?] mother send them off as soone [soon?] as possible no more at preasent. |
