| Transcript | [No Envelope] South Woodslee Ont Dec.8.1892 Dear Sister In reply to your letter which I received on the 29 Ult. I am glad to say that we are all well. I wrote a letter to you all from St Thomas two weeks to-day [today?] I stayed with Annie from Wendsday [Wednesday?] to Monday there was lots of snow when I was down there and good sleighing and there was hardly any when I came up here around St Thomas is pretty hilly it look [sic] a good deal like home some very steep places the [Page 2] land is all a kind of rolling Annie just got the Babys pictures while I was down the [they?] just look like it she is sending one to you and Willie Sarah and Tillies [Tillie’s?] people. I am sorry to hear of that row that took place the Plum [Plumbridge?] fair night. I thought they [the?] people over [sic] was getting better. I have never seen a quarrel since I came to this Country. It would be a disgrace to people to fight here the way they do there I hope William nor Tommy was not into it surely they know enough to keep away from such places now. I suppose whisky done the best share of the fighting, which of them got the worst of it I hope Mary [Page 3] Duncan is getting better they have quite a lot of trouble with the two are ther [they?] going to have any law over the fight Would you let me know all Tilda Jane said I think I will tell it all to Willie again Xmas and I will ask him if he wrote anything but I know he did not [Tell?] me all you have good authers [authors?] for and nothing else I dont know anything more that was in Archibalds letter I asked Cassie to show it to me but she would'nt Sarah is coming home to-night [tonight?] they are looking for her at the station since Monday. I suppose she is through, but I dont know yet myself I had a letter from Barbara McKernan last night she sent me one of her pictures it looks very good [Page 4] I think them people have funny reasons for not writing unless I change my mind they will wait a year in Sunday's before I write again and tell them that I wrote to Omagh ones twice and never got no answer I suppose the same thats keeping them from writing If you see any of them again Xmas ask them I think you people might write a little oftener too I dont think it cost [sic] such an awful lot for postage The Telegraph Alphabet you sent is all right unless they use two kinds I wanted to see if it and the one that is used here was the same but they are not, about half the letters is the same you need not bother any more about it I think I will stay as I am for another year.
