Dear Brother
I suppose you
are preparing very hard for your
Examination by this time you
say you will be working on the
12 July That would be a great
punishment to me if I had
to do it but I suppose you
can't get over it we are for
Plumbridge tomorrow 1st July
Mrs McLauglin wants the band
to play God Save The Queen.
They are to be gathered at
3.30 to start at first

[Page 2]
I have not been in Gortin this week
and I told them all yesterday
I think we are going to celebrate
the Battle of the Boyne at Lifford
this year They [there?] will be a
district meeting here tomorrow
night to make arrangements I
suppose they [there?] will be
a cheap tram run on the 12 for
the accasion [occasion?] Omagh
District is for Carrickmore
They will celebrate the 12 there
[Killymam?] and the Surrounding
Districts will be at Dromore
Co Tyrone is to be all in Derry
again 12 August we are going
there if spared to that time

[Page 3]
well now I think I cant give you
much more news about the 12th than
I have Joseph gilkison [Gilkinson?]
is coming on the 9th to get married
to a girl in Strabane. If its been
I dont know whether it is or not
Matthew Smyth is home out of the
infirmary again he came on [Sunday?]
the leg all right [alright?] again
but he can't leave it no [on?] the
ground We have got our Turnips all
in and our potatoes moulded up They
are on the road breaking stone [sic]
today we did not get the turf gathered
yet
The wee house you were talking about
in the grove

[Page 4]
is all tumbled Except one bit of a
wall we tumble a [at?] it one year
after rats and we never put it up
again I suppose all the high buildings
you put up you mind them all yet it was
you and father built the [stall?] It will
be standing when all the other we [wee?]
houses are down you were talking about
a bicycle I wanted to get one this year
but it failed me as soon as ever to get
money of my own Ill get one I hope that
wont be long.
No more at present.
