| Transcript | TAYLOR & TAUBE, 114 WALL STREET, TELEPHONE 955 JOHN New York July 11 1903 Saturday Morning My dear Alex, Just a line to let you know we are all well. I have been a shade under the weather for past two weeks & in addition during my enforced idleness I have been from necessity in the dentists chair most of each day so my nerves are a little shaken. Can just hold my pen down. Kate had a second operation on Thursday but is very well. The asthma. All the rest are well Mabel I hear is engaged & Blanche may be for all I know - I do know there are two nice fellows hanging round. Saw Will & Barron Thursday. They are all well _ Will looking like a picture face of "old [n?] ick" as ever - Ian was in yesterday _ he is doing a little, is well & steady but is hardly in the swim yet. Hugh is well & in the same old position - steady as a rock but wants "[G0?]" - The Taylor boy has not turned up yet. Shamrock is turning up but I am afraid will not lift the cup, we expect you & Adela out to [help?] her along. Had a nice letter from Mary _ I owe her two & Nell one. Keep them sweet. I will write presently - Love to them all to Dear mother my [eternal?] love, she certainly is a wonderful woman. Taube will be back August late September the family will be in mountains - as soon as I get them back Oct 1st DV [Deo Volente?] I will try & take a look at you all. The Stoddarts of Liverpool are at our Hotel Mrs & Miss - The latter met Helen McFerran in London at a Mr Craiks - so we hear of relations occasionally. Hope you are getting along all right on the asthma business & keeping clear & that adela & the rest are well. All join me in love to you all hurriedly. Your attached Bro. [Brother?] Geo. [George?] Taylor Heat past three days terrific yesterday - 105 open a shade cooler today but it is a teaser |
