Dear Bella
I send you these
few lines to let you know that I am
not very well at but it gives me
joy to know that your [you?] are well
thank God for it we have the
potatoes all set and we are
cutting the turf now some of the
neighbours has theirs all cut
we have pat and Sarah Patterson
hired again none of them has left
us yet and well have no more
Jane Barton is gone to America
and her mother along with her
there is a whole lot gone to america
a John Wilkins & Jhon [John?] an [and?] Bob Simpson
of Killsmallen [Kilsmullan?] you might be back
again for your uncles wedding for
he has no sign of marrying yet I got
a very bad fall the other day I cut
my head very severely I dont know
whether I live to hear another from
you or not James is here yet and Willie
and have got no place they are well
if your Uncle Robert and Lib had
been sleeping when they sent for you
it would have been telling yous [you?] and
maybe them too but I say no more about
them you say you have a nice place
now and I am glad of it watch yourself
and keep out of all bad company
and have god for your guide and
maybe this will be my last command
and I hope you will obey your father
is well so is all the family they had
a letter from Anne last week and
sent all the news that was worth
anything our old niegbours [neighbours?]
is all well Mrs monaghon [Monaghan?] is
dead and Mabel of [Edenamohill?]
is gone to America last week you did
not say what wages you have how
is old Andrew Nancy said is his
is mending I send my [to?] [Robert?]
and Andrew and you all
So no more at present I remain
