Dear Sister
I write to tell you the
Dr spoke to me this morning about
your coming and wanted to know if it
made any difference if you did not come
just now that if it did to come righ [right?]
at the time appointed if not to
wait until the next vacancy you
can imagine how it rings [wrings?] my heart
to write this but I thought I would
write and tell you first thing and
you tell them you can remain for
a couple of months perhaps not one
I am thoroughly disgusted with the
place and half inclined to apply
for a position in Toledo asylum &
the [they?] say the [they?] pay more
money and have a great deal less
responsability[responsibility?]
I dont really care if you give up the
idea of coming just no [now?] I hope to
God it will not throw you out of a
position you can well imagine how I feel
The disappointment is well nigh
breaking my heart write soon and let
me what their idea is and if they are
determined to let you go just let me
know and ill try a remedy in which
we will both work together I got some
money Im independant [independent?] as far as
that goes I have not the least doubt
but that I could fill a position in
another asylum I scorn their meaness
They employed a new Attendant
this morning please do write soon
and let me know what their answer
will be tell them that the Dr told
me the [they?] miscounted their help and
that another just now would be a
crowd that in all probability you
will wait a few months which might be so
do not blame me for giving you so much
worry I blame myself enough I wish to
heaven I could undo what I have done
I do hope the[they?] will not think of letting
you go the first. Ill write no more
but wait very anxiousy [anxiously?] for an
answer for your Sister Bell
