Dear Annie
I recieved [received?]
your kind & welcome letter yesterday &
glad to find that you were
well Hoping that this will find you
enjoying the same blessing as it
leaves me at present. I was glad
to hear of you having such a nice
time with the Firemen I only wish
I had been there I think we could
enjoyed (sic) ourselves. I was
beginning to think you had forgot
to write I was going to write
yesterday to see if you were
still alive but I thought I
would give you a few days more
to see if it would come your
Ideas & mine comes pretty near
corresponding I was figuring out
my time in California to the first
of next June & get home in time for
the 12th of July they were expecting
me home for this 12th but you know
I could not make it that leaves me
ten months that is if I dont get
Killed or hurt so I hope you
will come out to Stockton &
we can have an uppertunity
[opportunity?] of meeting
& talking the matter over
previous & then we could
take our tickets right through
on which ever route we would
think fit but we can arrange that
later on as it is not necessary now....
