| Transcript | Kalamazoo Asylum Mich [Michigan?] Jan 29 / 92 Miss Annie Weir Dear Friend Anne I now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you to let you know that I have just received your ever wellcome [welcome?] letter and was glad to hear that you are well I am not feeling very well myself I have been under the weather for the past 2 weeks I have had a very bad cold and a sore throat and a pain in my head I am just compleatly [completely?] knocked out of time there his [is?] a grate [great?] many of the Girls sick hear [here?] to [too?] Miss Stewart left hear [here?] yesterday she has not done anything for 8 weeks she has hard luck since she came back she has very poor helth [health?] So Mr Andrews has got married at last he wont be showing his money around to the boys now I suppose his pocket his [is?] lighter now why has your Ma gone Miss Gaddam I suppose she has gone to get ready to get married to Mr Hulson the Chife [Chief?] Engineneer [Engineer?] then he will have to turn that safety over to here that he used to ride around the building with now Annie I did not mean what I said about the Pork I will take it all back I think that you would get the better of me now in plucking that crow the way I am feeling to day well you did not tell me how your Sister his [is?] getting along I hope she has got a good husband you did not tell me weather [whether?] she had I think she had him out there before she went there how his [is?] your Better half getting along out there I think it his [is?] time he was coming over hear [here?] for you if I was shure [sure?] of getting as good Girl over there as you are I would put my notice in and go there he wont have to stay away many more years or I shall try to cut him out if I keep single well I have not had a sleighride yet the snow whent [went?] of [off?] to [too?] quick for me I guess I shall have to waite [wait?] untill [until?] miss Harrison comes then she will have to for that cutter ride give my regards to her Say Annie I hope you will really take my word I never Said anything to Miss [Demain?] [it?] you well I suppose you will have that building finished before I come over there So I think there his [is?] no more this time hopeing [hoping?] this letter will find you well hopeing [hoping?] to hear from you soon So good by by From Your Brother George R.
