| Transcript | Mr John Campbell New York 19 June 1787 Dear Sir I have the pleasure of yr [your?] favor 7 Feby [February?] & realy [really?] hold myself obligd [obliged?] to you for the very friendly attention you have paid my sisters the Box & ceg [keg?] come very safe to [hand?] I am making every exercion [exertion?] to come & see you but you have not a conception of the trouble here to collect in effects, this State the last Sessions struck of [off?] ten years Interest from the land of all those without the lines during the war & the principal to be discharged in three yearly Instalments, the first of which is to be made the first May next this is realy [really?] a hard case. I have not a Doubt of your friendship & many others in your place therefore wish how soon I can make my appearance with propriety among you upon Mr Sadlers return matters must come to an [issue?], this be assured of I want only what is right Trade never as more at a Stand in this part of the World There is much talk here that the Convention at Philada [Philadelphia?] will alter the const [constitution?] of the Union the [pris?]! one not having energy sufft [sufficient?] I am much of your opinion with regard to the Barrons plan.
