Annexed is a copy of my last & the 23rd
past I recd [received?] your wellcome [welcome?] favor [favour?]
of the 24 July I am pleased to hear the Gentlemen
with you are satisfied, there is no help
for your not being able to send the Salmon
I hope Mr Campbell is perfectly recovered
I am glad to see you were at [Conorron?]
for the Reasons I mentioned to you & think
myself much obliged by James Finlays
attention to you & Bell, who am glad to
find had got better. I shall send him some
Aple [apple?] trees this Winter. The Birds must
remain to a future Occasion. Mr Norris
wrote you had remitted him, he has been
my friend & faithful Correspd [Correspondent?]
this 22 years, I am pleased the Tennants [tenants?]
are all improving the farms. I am going tomorrow
to Mr Courtlands at the Yonkers to Spend
a few days, its a pretty improvement at
the Entrance of this Island 16 miles
from here. Mr [Sadler?] arrived last
night I have just seen him but has not
recd [received?] the Magazines his trunk not
[lining?] came on shore, as soon as he is a little
settled shall call on him & advise James
