TranscriptDear Matty New York 6 Nov 1790

I wrote you a few Lines by a
Ship to Cork, & am now to Answer your
favors of the 29 June & 27 July I thought
Lord Hilsbro [Hillsborough?] woud [would?]
carry his Election I was sorry to hear of
the Complaint you mentioned therefore pleased
to hear by your Last that it was better. The
Matters that has turnd [turned?] up relative
the Company affairs since I last wrote
will unavoidably keep me here untill
Spring, you can easily Judge from
your own Feelings how it has Effected
me they endeavour to keep up my Spirits
as well as I can, & your acquiessance
[acquiescence?] in it is a great Comfort
to me as my most [Earnest?] [wish?] is to
get home to my Relations. Tell Mr Cambell I
will write him by first Vessel to Ireland. I am
much pleased with your [excursion?]
to [Cottown?]. I have not heard from Mr
Norris a long time suppose he expected me
[how?] is the Cause. I wrote him Lately to buy
an Irish Lotery [Lottery?] Ticket for me & to advise
you the Number. I suppose Mr Wilson
is doing well. It is something New to hear
of the Recoverys [Recoveries?] you mention I think
Mr Ward right what you mention about
Mrs Russel is very Extraordinary. I was
once very well acquainted with her. Tho [though?]
Mr Legg had been Married, I think Mr
[Russel?] well rid of her. We have the finest
Fruit this year I have ever seen shall
send you & Mr Isaac some of the Finest
Apples Peaches & Peppers you ever see
by first Vessel to Belfast. God enable me
to make a Speedy Settlement of the old Affairs
