| Transcript | Eureka, Kansas, United States of America Dec 3rd 1895 Joshua E. Peel Esq Armah [Armagh?] Ireland Dear Sir The money must be in the Court of Chancery or in the Bank of Virginia. My father died in parish Mullah [Mullagh?] in County Cavan in the spring of 1847. Lord Cavandish [Cavendish?] landlord. My father made no will. The money was left to my Father after his death. Uncle William Kirk came to America about 60 years ago & died about 1847 or 1848. My Grand Father Jack Kirk's youngest brother Charles Kirk went to India in an early day. We think it was his fortune that was left & of which we are writing. My Grand Father's brother Silas Kirk came to America about 70 years ago & it might be that it is his estate. Peter Farley son of my mother's sister Nancy told me he had tried to get the estate but failed because he was not a Kirk. My brothers John, Richard and Peter Kirk now live in Parish of Armulla [Mullagh?] My brother Peter's Post Office is Ryefield Co. Cavan. The United States Consel [Consul?] at Dublin Hon. Thos [Thomas?] F. Bayard will doubtless render you any assistance in his power.
