My Dear Cousin
Your kind letters
of April 14th & June 21st
have been received, the former
was forwarded to me when I
was in Washington on my
way home from the Southland
where I had been advised
to go by my physician on
account of my health, (which
I am glad to say is quite
restored) the other letter was
sent to Cottage Citz
where we have been since
the 24th of June we are
all quite well and I trust
this will find you both as
well as usual, I would
dearly love to see you both
but at present it is not
possible for me to visit
you. I trust that in the
near future I may have
that pleasure, it did look
at one time (this past winter)
that I would be called away,
but "God who is rich in
mercies" has been pleased to
spare me I hope for some
good [wise?] purpose.
The deed of your dear
Fathers house I received
for which accept my
sincere thanks.
If Mr Cunningham has
not returned your dear
Fathers Will ask Mr
Cole to get it for you.
have no doubt but he
will.
Will send you Emma's
picture just as soon as
we can. I do not know
whether we have one here
or not.
