Honorable Albert Estopinal,
Washington, D.C.

Dear Mr. Estopinal:

Please accept thanks for yours of December 20th,
enclosing rough draft of bill to be introduced for the
relief of Doctor Andrew W. Smyth. Please let me know
when the bill is introduced and referred to the Committee
on Claims, as Mrs. Smyth desires to go to Washington and
assist in having the Committee report favourably on the
claim. She has already seen a number of the Committee
and has a number of letters from prominent people to
their congressmen. I shall be under many obligations,
which I hope to reciprocate whenever an opportunity
presents itself, if you introduce the bill at once,
or have Dupre do so. I have been endeavoring to see
Dupre on the subject but up to the present writing I
have failed to do so, as I have been unable to catch
him in his office.
Yours truly,
