Dear son and Daughter I take this opportunity
of Letting you know that we are all well at
Present hoping these few lines will find you in
the same your Brother and Sisters is all well
except james and they are afraid that he is
taking the Dropesy [Dropsy?] he has not been able to
work any this two months, we think great long
for to hear from you as this is the second time
we have wrote and got no answer. When you
write let us know if you have got any word
from Ireland, I have not seen John But once
since he was with you, But we hear that
he is at Raccoon [sic], Let Peggy know that Betty
and john is well and is both living with me
William Birch senior Died on the 3rd Day of
March with his old complaint the Phthisick [sic]
his family is all living together, write as soon as
posable [possible?] and let me know how the children is
No more at present but reamains your loving
