I wright [write?] these few lines to let you know
of my wellfair [welfare?], and also that I have rec
[received?] a letter from your dr [dear?] dated the
20th of the last month in which
He lets me know that he and your dr [dear?] mother and
brother and sisters are all Well, and requests me to wright
[write?] to you as ships leaves this port oftner
[more often?] than Belfast for America and that you would be
so kind as to wright [write?] to me as often as you can as
i can forward letters to him every month that may come from
you with my own, I hope you get the two letters I sent in
Winter to you. Let me know in yours if the [they?]
went safe, he tells me that your Grandmother has taken in
Sloan and Prudence your Aunt to live with
her and that the [they?] are going to law, to get the old will
that John Lavery meade [made?] to stand good, Which your father
says the [they?] never can if the [they?] were to sell all the
[they?] have. This man whom your Aunt Prudence has taken
I am afraid will turn out a very bad Barictor [barrister?]
may your father have paiteons [patience?] to [live?] with his
insults. I will let you know more about it when
I get a letter from Ireland your Aunt Jane and
family are All Well your unckle [uncle?] Henry and family
are still in Manchester, I have also to inform you
that I have chainged [changed?] my life and has marid [married?]
a Woman from Chishire [Cheshire?] that has lived in this town
for some years and has a most unblemished caracter [character?]
I was maried [married?] on the 9th of Febr [February?] and my
two children are very fond of her and her of them John is
coming on very well at larning [learning?] and Jane is living
With the merchants family that I am dear for
your grandfather is well only a sore foot he has got
that has confined him for some time you have hand
of the death of our good old King and his son the Duke
of Kent it has carried a greater stir in this kingdom
there is very hard accounts from Scotland and the last
week of the people rising for reform and some are
kiled [killed?] and wounded. - direct your letter to me
care of Mr John Goodwin Merchant Strand [Itm?]
no. [number?] 58 Liverpool I beg you may wright [write?]
soon and tell me all you can as there will be vessels
leaving your ports now very fast for this
I am very glad to find you have got such a good
place may the Lord give you Wisdom and
a thankfull hand to be steady in every station
that you may be an honour to your name
