| Transcript | My Dear Robt [Robert?] L.pool [Liverpool?] July 28 1820 With pleasure I receved your letter [?] [?] June the 3d and am thankfull [thankful?] to you for it and am very glad to find you are Well and doing so Well. May you allways [always?] prosper in every good thing and be always kept from the eveils [evils?] that is around you in the World. I am sory [sorry?] to find that you have so much to fear from the people of coulor [colour?] in your part of Ameraca [America?] that you may never come under there [their?] power. I have sent a letter to your father since I got yours to let him know of your Welfair [welfare?]. the [they?] were all Well the last letter I had from them and doing Well the [they?] Were very ancious [anxious?] for a letter from you, your grandfather is Well and still on foot. Sinse [since?] I Wrote to you last I have again entred [entered?] the marrage [marriage?] life and has got a very proper person for my Wife about my own age, and since then my life has been very happy and contented. for some years past I have not been so which you know somthing [something?] of but thank God the longe [long?] lane is turned. John & Jane is both Well and sends their loves to you. John is not in place as yet trayd [trade?] is but dull at present but it is hoped that it Will get better in this cuntry [country?] in a little time. I hope that trayde [trade?] is better with you you have hard [heard?] of the death of our good old King before this and of the prince Regent being proclamed in his Stead. Since then his Wife has come over to this country and has clamed [claimed?] hir [her?] right as Queen of Great Briton [Britain?] Which has caused a great stir in this kingdom as the King seems determed [determined?] to turn hir [her?] from him alltogeather [altogether?] from some acouints [accounts?] he has got of hir [her?] conduct When abroad. it is now pending in the houses of parlement [parliament?] and What the end of it Will be I can not tell as the most part of the people is for the Queen. She is to be tryed [tried?] by the law of this cuntry [country?] for adultry [adultery?]. I am afread [afraid?] it Will have a serious end... there is to be and has been a great many men hanged for high tryeson [treason?] in this kingdom this year. may the Lord put a stop to every civil browl [brawl?] and continue peace among us for Christ sake; your unckle [uncle?] Henry and famly [family?] is in this town now. your cuson [cousin?] Willm.
