Dear Sirs: -

At the request of William R. Lonsdale of
McGregor I beg to enclose you power of Attorney from
him to your Mr Joshua Peel. McGregor is a small village
upwards of thirty miles from this Town and there is no
Notary Public in the District, which necessitated my
attending to the matter there.
Mr Lonsdale has asked me to bill you with my fees
and expenses as he thinks that he should not be
responsible for them.
My charges in all are $ 10.00 which please remit
and oblige,

Yours truly,
I Enc. [enclose?]

D. A. Macdonald
