Dear Mr Smyth
I take the liberty
of writing you again. I
rote [wrote?] you a week
ago but I left it in town
with a young Lady to mail
as when we drove in we
could not find any stamps
in Drug Store as the office
was closed so we were to
[too?] Late I came to the
conclusion she did not mail
it as you did not answer.
I rote [wrote?] for your
address to Cousin Cassie
but she did not forward it
to me. I did not like it
from Her & indeed I should
not have done that trick
to any one. I should have
gone up but Tillie has been
very sick since I came Here
my purpose of writing is this
Mr. Smyth that I had a letter
from my folks Home Father
told me to try & Hunt him up
as He knew him Tillie wrote
to ask Father if he had any
Recollection of Him You spoke
of Mr MacIlwaine to Tillie
so if you could give me a
slight idea of His address
I should be ever so much
Oblige [obliged?] to you
I would not rote [write?]
again if I though [thought?]
you received my last but
Tillie said it did not
reach you or you would
rote [have written?] rite
[right?] away when sister
is a little better I will
write to Woodslee.
Hopping [hoping?] you
Folka [allso] are all
Rite [right? well.

Sincerely
R. MacIlwaine
