| Transcript | 1902 Ballindoalty Dec 26th Dear Brother A few lines hoping to find you all enjoying good health as we all do here at present and leting [letting?] you know we recieved [received?] your Letter a short while ago. glad to hear of you all being well with reguard [regard?] to the Ballintur farm it was rented on the 19th of this month of coarse [course?] that was after your Letter came to us young McClough [McCullough?] has give up the auctioner [auctioneer?]business he says he has got to [too?] much to do since his father died however it was Bernard Dun [Dunn?] that auctioned it this time it went pretty good it rented this year to £58 15 shillings Alicia came home for the day of the Land being rented i suppose [suppose?] She has rote [wrote?] to you by this time we had a leter [letter?] from Patrick this morning he said he had a Leter [letter?] from you lately he sent us a Little xmas present and also Annie and Katie the [they?] are both well we had no account from Peter since May i hope he is all right we had a very wet summer here the crops that is the grain crop was very hard to save with reguard [regard?] to the potatoes the [they?] have been a fairly good crop all through Killowen this year in price for potatoes the [they?] are 3 shillings per hundered [hundred?] i havent much more news at this time wishing you a happy xmas and a prospers [prosperous?] new year when it comes from your sister Jane and B Magee (Transcribed by Katrina Black) |
