3122 Rhodes Ave. [Avenue?]

Dear Aunt;
I am sorry to be so neglectful
in writing but one thing with another has
kept me busy.
Kate has been here over a
month. John is here two weeks past. Kate
brought Miss Grace Hickey from Denver with
her. They were all with us but now are at Mrs
Walsh's. Mrs Walsh moved near us on Calumet
Ave. They have an eighteen room house and I
think they need it.
Sadie Thomas was here two
weeks and just went home Thursday.
Miss Warnock and Anna MacRae
were in the City a few days. They made us
visits on different afternoons. Anna is still
getting thinner.
Nellie Graduated from school
last Friday and she feels very proud of
her standing in school.
The schools are all closed
now. We had a great time getting ready for
the last day.
Poor Ma is sick with Bilious
Fever and has been in bed these last four
days.
It is terrible hot here. You
ought to see how many are sick or dead from
this heat.
We are expecting a cold wave
soon.
Isabella Shanks has been
here this week past and is helping us with
the work.
I am chief cook and find it
impossible to get Nell up in the morning.
That Allan Woods that you
heard Ma speak of, is dead and buried a
month ago.
Mr. Thomas went home sick
last Thurs. I am going out to Denver this
vacation. Dena is going to Michigan. Ma was
saying if you had been here, she would'nt be
sick.
