[County?] Down Ireland Dear Sir You will think me verry [very?] Tarday [Tardy?] in writing to you I was always waiting to see If I could buy a vessell [vessel?] I have Bought at last Schr [Schooner?] Ada Madoria from Whi[stained] called the best built vessell [vessel?] [stained] rest water She Is 5 years old and Carries about 21000 Bushels to Buffalo I was offered $14000 for the Glad Tidings But would not sell Sam has sold the 1/2 of the Enterprise to Tom Sculley at [stained] rate of $3000 Cash Down 1000 [stained] provision has sold Vermont for $13000 [stained] Deacks [Decks?] and Deck frame on the Wooden Vessels Is high in Price this winter It has been very Cold this winter We have got nothing done As yet with the Vessels. Ada Madoria Is In Toledo with Black Wallnot [Walnut?], for Ogdens Fury She is full sized Cannall Vessell [Canal Vessel?] Sam and Mrs is in good health!
