I take this Opportunity of writing to you to let you
know that we are all in good health at present thank God hoping
this to find you in the same I am Very Glad to
hear that you are all well as I have had no word since
the year 1801 I have wrote several times but has
recd [received?] No answer But I find my mistake not knowing
properly how to Direct Before the Letter you [?]
to Wm [William?] Man therefore I would Be very happy in
having A Letter from you I am in A very hard way
of Earning my Bread I am Labouring with one
Mr. John Montgomery Casement which I have Been
with him Since I was able to take A mans work upon
me Labourers and tradesmens wages is [?]
very Low and provisions of all kinds are very high.
I would be very happy to be near you If [?]
in ability to Come But times is so Bad and my wages
so little that all that A man Can Doe [do?] in this [country?]
will Doe [do?] Very Little for him therefore my Dear
Brother If you will Let my Uncle Daved [David?] Reed
know my Desire I think if it is in his power he will
Doe [do?] something for me in this Case while my family
is not Very Large and thank God I am in Ability
to work If there is any thing [about?]
and I understand [?]thing well I have wrote
Several times to my uncle and has not Recd [received?] no
Answer therefore you will Let my Uncle know
that the Acct [Account?] that he transmitted over to
James Walker to pay to my father when he [comes?]
Over with him in the year 1801 that he [Denys?]
payment and never paid one peny [penny?] of it therefore
If there was any means of Recovery I would be
happy in pushing him for the Same as me
is in possession of all his Uncle Doctor Wilsons
property my Mother is in A Very Good State of health
thank God for his Mercies to us I have three Children
two Sons One Daughter the oldest 10 the youngest
3 year of Age. Sister Ann is Married to A Man
the Name of James Grey and lives in the
Clougher [Clogher?] within 1/2 Miles of Ballymena Sister Jerry
is married to A James Alen [Allen?] A Currier to trade.
Nancys husbands Name is James Lock he is
[Weighmaster?] in Larne and the [they?] have Both families
of Children James Man and family is well Wm [William?] Man
and family is well Let my Uncle David Reed know
that my Mother Desires to be Remembered to him and
his family
and all her friends and especially Sister Margaret
My Sisters kind Love to you and your family
and Give my own Love to all our friends not
knowing how to write to them Separately
I Beg you will write to me the first
Opportunity and Cause my Uncle to write
and Give me proper Directions that
I may know where he is and [?] [to?] [?]
to him No more at present But Remains
