Dear Brother
I received your last and I now write to let you know
that I will sail with my family for New York on Saturday the
29th inst and I expect to see you before Christmas therefore
I need not enter into details of anything farther than this
that my wife has a brother in Jersey city, another brother
who has been 14 years in the state of Michigan who had a
wife but she died 2 years ago and had no children - Well he
sold out in Michigan and came down to Jersey city in the
fall to see his brother (who is also married and has 3
children) after remaining a few days in Jersey city he
resolved to come over here and see his two sisters my wife
and Hugh Gillins then his Brothers wife resolved to
accompany him to see her friends who live at Bendooragh 4
miles from Ballymoney so they both came to us and encouraged
us to clear out and go to America which I have done it is
probable that I may stop in Jersey city till the Spring that
is if we can find employment, if not we will go straight on
to you and try for work there however we will stop a few
days with Brother in Jersey City any how but I will see you
some how with Gods help as I said before Christmas

Brothers address is
Wm [William?] Tait
14 Westerville Street
