Mr James Smith will go before an American Consul or (if he
cannot be found,) before a notary Public and will obtain the
sealed certificate of said Consul or notary on the back of
the accompanying Power.
At the foot of the Power Mr. Smith will of course write his
name and if convenient have a Witness to sign it. Fill up the
blank spaces Return the power to Jonathan Smith enclosed in a
letter; and be careful to pay double or treble the postage if
the letter require it. The Present sheet if turned out & and
properly addressed to Jonathon will suit without any new
sheet, enclosing it & single postage will answer. Please to
return it quickly -
